Another Sunny Day in LA...
Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 11:35PM Today I spent the day walking around downtown LA after the rains and absolutely loved it! Took this shot below, then made a beeline to Cole’s on 6th street from some rockin pastrami dip, Atomic Fries with Atomic mustard, finished off with an Atomic Pickle Spear! It was all washed down with a heavenly Guiness Float! I <3 weekends! :-)

Photography One Very Late Night in LA...
Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 12:51PM
This photo was taken sometime around close to 2am. A friend & I thought it would be a great idea to take some night shots of the Disney Concert Hall early in the evening so we got there around 7p, but we got a little sidetracked when we passed by a bar down the street from here. Next thing you know, 1am…. luckily I brought a tripod. Tripods are your friend! Especially if you’re also using it to steady yourself, along with the camera! ;-)

Photography Lakers Playing at Staples Center

I was lucky enough to snap a few shots of the game before security decided to threaten erasing my card if I didn’t put my camera away. Apparently, they have a problem with lenses longer than like two inches when you’re sitting court-side. The game is so different when you’re down on the floor. It’s almost surreal. Listening to, as well as watching, the drama unfold on the court as the two teams fight for a win is an experience that TV or even the nosebleed section seats will never give you!
Shot in ambient light with my D700 & a 70-300mm Nikkor. Can you believe many of these shots were taken at ISO 6400!!! I love my camera! :-)

I took this shot while on a photo-walk at the Santa Monica Pier. This was shot using a 70-300mm lens handheld on a D700 body. I guess the VR actually works! :-)

Photography Pocket Wizard vs. Radio Popper Bakeoff!
Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 11:39PM This is a very in depth bakeoff of these two remote trigger systems for photo flash systems with some very surprising results!
These guys did a very good job with the testing and sold me on which one I’m going to invest in.

Tech Playing with Tilt-Shift Photography...
Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 3:02AM This is a shot of a Boeing plant nestled in the Sage Ranch area of Simi Valley. I think I need to tweak the colors a bit more to make it look more like a diorama. This was taken during a photowalk and was shot in the early morning hours using a Nikon D700 with an AF-S 17-35 IF ED lens.
