Home Sweet Home

During my journey across the Salton Sea on my way to Bombay Beach, I encountered this desolate & lonely homestead. At least the remains of one. Inside was torn asunder and ravaged with age. The place was oddly quiet and peaceful as I stood inside trying to get a sense of the lives that once occupied this now forsaken plot of land.

Alas, the sun was fast setting into the shadows, so I had to leave this forgotten shell so I could catch the last rays of the sun dancing along Bombay Beach. As I walked away from the place, the eerie silence was broken by the buffeting wind blowing across the run-down hulk. It was a nice little pit-stop on what was a memorable day indeed…
